The second resource I will mention in my presentation is When Something’s Wrong: Strategies For Teachers. This is also a free online tool to help educators gain a sense of various disorders and mental illnesses that can impede mental health. This site informs teachers about anxiety disorders, autism, depression, eating disorders, impulse control disorders, schizophrenia, and Tourette’s syndrome. Now while this handbook is extremely helpful, it is extremely important to note that it is not a diagnostic tool.

For each of the seven sections in this handbook each one contains an explanation of the term itself along with specific behaviours associated with it, strategies for teachers to implement in their classroom to aid the students learning, treatment options, and a list of resources.

For Example: Depression

Below is the section about Depression from the handbook with the general explanation of the term along with specific behaviours associated with it, strategies for teacher to use in their classrooms to aid the student(s), treatment options, and a list of resources.
