Welcome to my blog!

I am a second year student enrolled in the Education Program at UVIC working towards becoming an elementary school teacher. I’m  excited to be a part of a cohort this year, as it’s nice to be in classes where everyone is striving for the same end goal as I am. A little bit about myself… I enjoy cooking for my family and friends, playing field hockey, and travelling. My favourite meal to make is a Greek dinner which includes chicken souvlaki, lemon potatoes, Greek salad, and homemade pita bread. I hoped to expand my cooking repertoire over the summer, but unfortunately I never found time because of work. This summer I worked for BC Ferries where I was on board working in the White Spot. Working for the ferries was a great summer job, but it was hard to make plans because I was on call everyday. Being a teacher is a great career for many reasons, one of those being summers off! Travelling the world is a big passion of mine and by working only ten months of the year I will be able to use the other two months to go visit some beautiful places. As of now I would say the coolest place I’ve been to is Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. I’m looking forward to the ups and downs this upcoming school year will bring and hope you continue reading my weekly blog updates as my journey continues.
